Poultry: Hemorrhagic syndrome due to Vitamin K deficiency occurs during periods of stress such as coccidiosis, beak trimming, crowding, vaccinations, other infections and disturbances in the flock. Before these periods of stress occur or as soon as problems appear, the poultry farmer must administer it in the drinking water of their birds, obtaining high levels of Vitamin K.
Pigs: it is used as an antihemorrhagic in procedures such as the castration of piglets.
